About me

Ever since I started learning English in high school, I have been in love with languages. I have had the luck to travel a lot and study in England and Germany. My wanderlust goes hand in hand with my interest in languages and cultures. Add to that my love for reading and writing, working with words, and you get the perfect recipe for a translator!

Before embarking on a freelance career, I worked two years for an Italian food and wine company, where I wore many hats: I was translator and copyeditor, and also responsible for the company’s Facebook page. This experience made me understand how passionate I am about working with words to create engaging content. For this reason, I am still working in Marketing translation, and for two years I have been translating product pages for Amazon Europe, which ensures that I’m experienced with a wide range of texts.

I also translate Travel and Tourism content: besides being a language lover, I suffer from wanderlust. I love to explore foreign countries and immerse myself in their culture. You can rest assured that I know how to appeal to fellow travellers! My focus is on sustainable tourism: I firmly believe that it’s our duty to protect our planet and all the species inhabiting it. Indeed, I’m also passionate about the Environment and Sustainability, and I’m constantly attending courses on these subjects to deepen my understanding of them. All the while, I also volunteer for TED’s Open Translation Project, translating subtitles for TED Talks. That’s right, I’m also a Subtitle Translator: I regularly work for NetflixDisney and Sony Pictures as end clients.

As a professional translator, I am committed to maintaining the standards of our profession. I hold membership of two internationally recognized organizations: The Chartered Institute of Linguists and The International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreter. Besides, I’m a volunteer Resources Program Manager for Translation Commons, an online community of linguists. Professional development is also very important to me: I regularly attend courses on my specializations, and translation conferences and seminars.
